The Lot is a private household tool built and operated by Jon Lamb for personal use by household members. By signing in you agree to the terms below.
Who this is for
The Lot is intended for use by the operating household’s members during an active vehicle shopping process. It is not a public service. Access is granted by invitation only. If you received an invitation in error, please disregard it and notify the address below.
Acceptable use
- Use the service only for its intended purpose — coordinating the household’s vehicle shopping.
- Do not use the service to harass any person, send unsolicited marketing, or transmit unlawful content.
- When using the Communications layer, comply with the recording consent laws of the jurisdictions involved. The service discloses recording audibly at the start of every recorded call; continuing the call constitutes consent.
- SMS sent through the service must comply with all applicable telecom regulations including the TCPA, CTIA Short Code Monitoring guidelines, and US carrier policies (A2P 10DLC).
Text messaging program
The Lot sends one-to-one follow-up text messages from the household’s dedicated number to dealership representatives who have opted in in person— by entering their mobile number and turning on a consent toggle on the household member’s device. By opting in, a recipient consents to receive these vehicle follow-up messages. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help. Mobile numbers and opt-in consent are never shared or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing. See how opt-in and message data are handled in the Privacy Policy.
Your data
You retain ownership of the data you enter into The Lot. By using the service you grant The Lot a limited license to store and process your data through the service’s sub-processors solely as needed to operate the application. Processing details are listed in the Privacy Policy.
No warranty
The Lot is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. AI-generated content (listing extraction, insights, call summaries, transcript extractions) is best-effort and may contain errors. Verify financial figures, recording consent, and dealer communications against authoritative sources before relying on them.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator of The Lot is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the service.
Account termination
Household members may stop using the service at any time. The operator may suspend or terminate access at any time for any reason, including misuse or to wind the service down. Upon termination, data is retained as described in the Privacy Policy until deletion is requested.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA.
